Get to know me
The obsession begins:
As a creative child growing up in rural Pennsylvania I would spend my free time beating boredom by using the family camcorder to film skits with my “crew” aka: my four siblings.
As I went through high school I would find any excuse to turn a PowerPoint project into a video. I would create montages of my friend’s life memories and gift them the DVD for their birthday.
These are the moments I first experienced the bliss of spending hours lost in the edit; assembling the puzzle pieces to find the best possible end result. I decided THIS is what I love to do.
Building My Resume:
After getting my degree in Electronic Media & Film at Towson University I extended a semester long internship at Baltimore Magazine into my first paid freelance gig. While filming and editing documentary style online video for the magazine I eventually picked up another job at CBS Local where I created breaking news content. Nine months later, I landed a fulltime position at Hearst working for the only two radio stations they own: local staples WBAL and 98 Rock. For the first few years I built up their video presence online, in sales and in promotions. As the content grew I had the opportunity to develop and create an original TV show for the popular comedy based morning show that aired on local programming.
The Next Chapter:
Being a small town girl from Pennsylvania, I didn’t expect to move cross country to Seattle, Washington. My husband was offered a great job opportunity and we welcomed the new adventure. I currently work for Sleep Doctor, a sleep marketing company where I manage freelancer video editors and edit content for Sleep Doctor and Sleep Foundation.
